Farewell

Glen and Mary Pridgen graciously opened their home to the Deacons and their wives along with the staff of our church tonight to say farewell to Pastor Tim, Krisy and Delaney Bridges. Glen prepared a "country boil" that consisted of shrimp, sausage, potatoes, onions and corn on the cob. As with any Baptist gathering the food was outstanding and the fellowship was sweet. Pastor Tim and his family are moving to Edinburgh, Scotland where Tim will puruse his PhD. It is with mixed emotions that we say farewell to them next Sunday for the last time. It's exciting to see them follow the Lord's leadership in their lives yet at the same time we will miss their ministry and friendship. This past Sunday night the church held a Dinner on the Grounds in their honor. Several of our deacons and our youth pastor shared how they have touched the lives of our church. Bob Buker said it best when he said "I'm not going to talk about you (referring to Tim) because that is not what you would want, because it's evident in your lives that it's not about you it's about the Lord." We are forever thankful that the Lord brought them to First Baptist Church and placed them in our lives.
