Angels vs Canes

We traveled to South Miami today for Angela's soccer game. This game was scheduled to be played on Sunday, October 23 but thanks to Hurricane Wilma the game had to be rescheduled. It was a beautiful afternoon to watch a soccer game! Both of the U-12 girl teams from Clewiston traveled to take on the two U-12 girl teams from Miami. The only complaint I had was that both games were played at the same time, which meant I didn't get to watch any of the other game.

Angela did great today! She scored 3 of the 8 goals! That is the most goals she has scored all season and man was she pumped. By the time we drove back to Clewiston the swelling of her head had gone down. All the girls played as a team today which is what the game is all about.

Her coaches are awesome. Hiro & Irma Sanchez have been great this season teaching the girls the game, good sportsmanship, and most of all encouraging them on a regular basis.

Now that our regular season schedule is over, it's time to begin practice for State games that are being held in Ocala, Florida. Angela was shocked and honored to find out that she has been picked to play on the state team since it's her first year. We leave on January 13 and if we go to the finals we will return home on the 15. Good luck to all the girls . We know you are all winners regardless of the outcome of the state games.
